About lotion candles
Lotion candles (Fúzh̀à’piroso in Dinedrad) are candles meant to be used on the skin. If your candle doesn’t have much of a strong scent when burning it, that is why. The candles themselves are meant to be poured onto your skin, and too much fragrance could potentially cause irritation to the skin. If you smell closely the candle or even the lotion once applied to your body, it should still hold a smell. Our lotion candles do NOT contain paraffin wax, which is a wax made from petroleum. Our candles contain 100% natural soy wax, coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter and essential oils.
How to use the candles
Light the wick until a pool of melted wax forms, then blow out the candle and wait for 3~ minutes. Gently pour the warm wax onto your hand or body to apply the lotion. | Piro ito bøsàtù jùntorà monun hévako di fúzh̀àn zh̀ỳrà dømàn, àzh̀i, léàiré di fúzh̀à’piro etsú timàé tri àḑùni. Not much lotion is needed, even a small tiny amount does the job, too much can become sticky, just like any other lotion. Do not light your candle for more than three hours at a time. Please do NOT light your candle once less than 1/4 of the lotion remains in the tin or teacup, the precise number may vary, but it comes down to personal judgement.
DO NOT USE OUR PRODUCT ON YOUR FACE. Although we use skin-safe ingredients and safe amounts of essential oils + occasional fragrances, our product has not been tested for facial use, nor tested around the eye area. Our product is mainly intended for the hands, arms, legs, torso, back, and any parts of the body that aren’t the face/head. Our lotion may stick to body hair. We have tested our lotion on individuals with body hair, although, we cannot guarantee how useful it may be if you have a lot.
The flame should never get in close contact with the teacup nor the tin, and never reach under 2cm~. Do not leave your candle unintended, like any other candle. Please beware of the candle being lit around kids or pets, since they may try to get into contact with the candle itself out of curiosity. When lit, the candle itself will melt differently than a regular candle, and that is normal. The flame will form a smaller circle within the center, so the flame itself should never come in contact with the tin or teacup. Do not ingest the liquid and avoid placing the candle in areas where it could easily be knocked over.
Important Note for Small Pet Owners, Especially Rabbit Guardians
As a student in veterinary studies, I want to gently remind customers that many small animals, especially rabbits, have extremely sensitive respiratory systems. While our lotion candles are skin-safe and designed to be used responsibly, it’s important to remember that any scented product, when burned in an enclosed space with small pets, can be harmful over time.
We strongly recommend not burning any candles in a closed room where a small pet like a rabbit, guinea pig, or other critter, lives or is kept. This applies to all scented products, not just ours.
That said, occasional or indirect contact, such as cuddling your rabbit while wearing a small amount of lotion or being in the same room without lighting the candle, is generally much less of a concern. The risk comes primarily from long-term or concentrated exposure in enclosed environments.
While dogs and cats can also be sensitive to scents, rabbits and many small rodents are particularly vulnerable to developing respiratory issues from repeated exposure. Out of care for your companions, please use any scented product (including ours) with awareness and moderation.
