Guon

Guon

The Guon culture has a complex branching system in which the term Guon can define a member of the royal Guon family or a citizen of a Guon nation. The term “Meni” can be used to more specifically refer to someone who resides on the continent of Menia, and the term Guon is used to define someone who comes from a Guon nation. The continent of Carnia-Menia (“Highlands of the blooming nation” if it was to be literally translated) consists of two major social continental boundaries, Carnia and Menia, in which Carnia habits the north until the Raogun River and under Longtian Guo, and Menia habits the south of the continent, reaching from the south of the Raogun River and Longtian Guo. Even though the Miskargar region is one of the most inhabited parts of Carnia, it is still not considered its own continent, but rather a social group, hence the Miskargar culture. The Guon Crowns have this family tradition of giving a piece of land to descending youth to rule over, hence why there are so many Guon nations. There are currently 7 to 9 recognized Guon states (Huan Guo, Raoz Guo, Yandin Guo, Zez Guo, Suinin Guo, Longtian Guo, Suih Guo, Quz Guo and Luningjin Guo), as modernly, rather than giving up a patch of land to a monarch when they reach adulthood, they usually are given a city, province or existing nation to rule over, due to how complex and confusing territorial disputes were becoming. Two Guon states aren’t fully recognized by all Guon nations: Raoz Guo and Zez Guo. Raoz Guo is sometimes seen as non-legitimate, as it is seen sometimes as a Carnian state, or Annexed Guon Land (AGL, a term created to define a nation Anaxed by military force), like Liuzhouian Guo and Jing Guo who aren’t official Guon states, but rather AGL countries. Zez Guo is sometimes seen as an island belonging to Huan Guo, since the land wasn’t given by the royal tradition of descending the crown and so on, but rather taken over by Zez Guo, who wasn’t on the list of upcoming heirs to get the Huan Crown. The text at the top is known as the Royal Stamp. It says Qaozo Guo Shaixi Gjoniba Xonoaqoza, which translates to “The Royal Guons of the leaking light, by the King and other Monarchs (by the King, Queen, Princess, Prince and Sergant of Arms).”
